Band: Mike Lewis
Missing media: 1154This was awesome. We had MMA winners celebrating their victories in the Whole tonight. There wasn't much wrestling, but there was some beautiful music. Those who chose Brubeck over these guys were sorely disappointed.
9/9/2005Tarlton and Cepia: music for fleshy robots
Here's the official shout out for next Thursday's Tarlton and Cepia show at the Whole Music Club.
Brett Bullion, formerly of Tiki Obmar, has been hard at work recording Tarlton's latest album at Ev Olcott's Integral Studio. The songs on this album are complicated little nuggets. Live drums, synths, and plenty of effects. Fairly enthralling stuff if you ask me. Listen to a track and decide for yourself.

New Orleans truly is the birthplace of jazz, blues, funk, soul, and other musics that we think of as "American". Nick Spitzer, host of NPR's American Routes show says: "This is a natural and cultural disaster. 9/1/2005DJ Wanted
Are you a DJ with a winning personality? Irene on TV is looking for an able and willing DJ to perform during the show. You get to be on Cable Access and everything! You supply the tables and music, we supply the wicked sound system. You may be asked to do ridiculous things for scetches and stuff, but mostly, we want the slamming beats and winning smile.
Irene on TV is shot on a tiny (negative) budget in the basement of Coffman Union every month while school is in session.
Contact Drew for information about try-outs held this month.
