Missing media: 4307Hey, Pitchfork Media threw some love our way for the Making Music series! Pretty sweet.
Tickets are still available here and now for the Erik Appelwick date, and will be available here at noon on October 1st for the Alan Sparhawk appearance, and noon on November 1st for the Slug appearance.
We are only giving out about 100 tickets for each of these events, so set your reminders! (string around index finger, iPhone alarm, significant other with sharp stick, etc...) The Onion's Even Newsletter and RadioK will also be giving away tickets for these events, so visit them if you get shut out.

9/18/2007DAMO!!!!!!!
OK, the night is complete. Friday, October 12th. 9:00pm
We've been working for a year to get Damo Suzuki here to the Whole Music Club. Damo was the singer in a legendary group called Can in the early 70s. For the past couple years, he's been touring the world with his Damo Suzuki's Network project. The Network is basically a group of musicians who shows up and plays with Damo wherever he happens to be. The guys playing with him here at the Whole are some of our absolutely favorite local musicians and include Mike Lewis (Happy Apple, Alpha Consumer), Jeremy Ylvisaker (Alpha Consumer, ...

9/14/2007Making Music Archives
Missing media: 3692So, I've been dragging my feet on this too long, but it's finally done. I put up a ton of Making Music archives from past shows. You can listen to them here:
http://www.coffman.umn.edu/whole/themes/makingmusic.php
I put up the entire, unedited interviews with Robert Skoro, Haley Bonar, James Diers, Robin Rimbaud (aka: Scanner), Ryan Olcott, Josh Grier, and Dessa. That's a lot of material, there, but I still have to transfer audio from Andrew Bird, Lori Barbero, Sean McPherson, POS, and Andrew Broder. Hopefully I can get to that soon. In the meantime, enjoy!
