Last Wednesday's BiTS variety show went off well. We had some great musicians in the Whole playing to an engrossed crowd. Katie Sauer started out the evening singing some old favorites. Ty Stafford followed with some great songs, but didn't do his Kermit the Frog impression, unfortunately. Next up was Anthony Brown, the Soundshaker. Anthony can make noises come out of his mouth that defy the imagination. He's also, it turns out, a comedian. He did some 'name that tune' stuff, and then blew us away with wicked beats. Ari Herstand came up on stage after that and played some great songs. He skipped around between his guitar and the piano and did a set of all original tunes. For his last song, Anthony joined him and his cello player for a song. It was a great end to the night. We put on the BiTS variety show every second Wednesday of the month. We are looking for all sorts of talented performers including musicians, spoken word artists, dancers, comedians, actors, video-makers and more. The next BiTS variety show is set for November 10th.
