Theme: Making Music
Making Music features an evening with James Diers, of Halloween, Alaska. This event is free and open to the public. Diers will be featured in the final of three Making Music events this fall. Since growing up in St. Paul, James Diers has been an important part of the Minnesota music scene. He started his music career singing in the band Love-cars, and serving as tour manager for The Bad Plus. Diers is currently the front man of the supergroup Halloween, Alaska, whose new album "Too Tall To Hide" is earning international acclaim. Hear from James on his musical process, travels, and experience in varied professional roles within the music scene ranging from musician, tour manager and even critic.
As 'Making Music' enters its second semester, the reviews of this ground-breaking series just keep getting better. Easiest described as "Inside the Actors Studio" for local musicians, 'Making Music' features in-depth interviews with the Twin Cities' most interesting and talented music makers. Local musician JG Everest hosts the show, which features a long-format interview, live demonstrations, videos, exclusive and unreleased tracks, prizes, and Q+A from the audience.
Tonight's guest is James Diers!
This is a RadioK - sponsored show!
