Theme: Making Music

The Whole Music Club and SPARK, the School of Music's celebration of electronic music is proud to present british artist Robin Rimbaud. Rimbaud (aka Scanner) traverses the experimental terrain between sound, space, image and form, creating absorbing, multi-layered sound pieces that twist technology in unconventional ways. From his early controversial work using found mobile phone conversations, through to his focus on trawling the hidden noise of the modern metropolis as the symbol of the place where hidden meanings and missed contacts emerge, his restless explorations of the experimental terrain have won him international admiration from amongst others, Bjork, Aphex Twin and Stockhausen.

free103point9 is pleased to present a special performance for the Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Art 2006. free103point9 Transmission Artists Damian Catera, Matt Mikas, Tom Roe and Bryan Zimmerman from the Dust Dive will perform live from the free103point9 Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Audio and video from the gallery will be webcast to Minneapolis where Scanner will perform in person, in collaboration with the Brooklyn performers, to a live Spark festival audience.
