Theme: Making Music

As lead guitarist and vocalist for Tapes 'n Tapes, Josh Grier continues to quest towards world, or at least indie domination. “The Loon”, their debut LP, garnered significant critical and popular acclaim including comparisons to The Pixies and Pavement, plus a mention in Pitchfork Media’s “Top 50 Albums of 2006”. After a busy 2006, T'nT continue to write and tour in anticipation of a big 2007.
This spring, the Whole Music Club presents the fifth season of Making Music, a series that features long-format discussions with talented musicians about their art. Local musician JG Everest (Lateduster, Vicious Vicious) hosts the show, which includes interviews, live demonstrations, videos, exclusive and unreleased tracks, prizes, and Q+A from the audience. These events are free, all-ages, open to the public, and start at 8pm.

Wow it's been a big year for Mr. Josh Grier and the Tapes n' Tapes crew. Seems like just yesterday that they were here rocking the Whole Music Club, and now they are playing for tens of thousands at the totally awesome Coachella music festival somewhere between the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the Machine. Before he leaves town for the tour, stop by the Whole for an interview with the brain behind the tape. He'll play some solo tunes, talk about being on Letterman, and take questions from the audience. Show up early, this show will probably be at capacity.
